Rigby Man Killed in Train Accident

(BANNOCK COUNTY) – A Rigby man was killed yesterday morning after a train collided with a garbage truck in rural Bannock County. Local News 8 reports that 40-year-old Jimmy Willcoxson was driving a PSI Waste Management Truck at a crossing on Fort Hall Mine Road when the crossbar dropped down onto the hood of the truck. Willcoxson attempted to lift the crossbar off the truck when the train hit, throwing Willcoxson to the ground and spinning the truck around. Police believe Willcoxson died immediately. An investigation is ongoing.
