(BOISE) – The Committee to Recall Tom Luna will face an uphill battle over the next two months. Activists presented the first 20 signatures of their petition to Secretary of State Ben Ysursa yesterday. The group needs over 158,000 signatures just to hold a special election, a challenge many lawmakers are calling a “complete waste of time and resources.” Over 268,000 votes in favor of ousting Luna would have to pass a special election — the same number of voters who supported Luna in the first place.
