(POCATELLO) – A Pocatello man who brutally murdered his high school classmate is asking the Idaho Supreme Court to overturn his conviction or reduce his sentence. Brian Draper’s attorney says his life sentence at the age of 16 was cruel and unconstitutional. Prosecutors maintain Draper knew fully-well what he was doing when he videotaped his reactions after murdering Cassie Jo Stoddard with accomplice Torey Adamcik. The court’s decision is pending.
