(POCATELLO) – Several people gathered at Pocatello High School last night for a public forum aimed at educating families about the dangers of meth use. Rigby High School sophomore Brian Bates told Local News 8 that he volunteers for the Idaho Meth Project to keep as many people off meth as he can. The teen says he’s already had two family members fall into meth use. According to a recent survey, one in five Idaho teens don’t think they’ll be hurt by trying meth just once. Organizers hope that number will continue to decrease through better education and encouragement.
