Federal Judge Blocks Deal for Wolf Protections

(BOISE) – A federal judge has blocked a plan to lift protections on wolves in Idaho and Montana, and ban wolf hunting in four other states. Judge Donald Molloy cited the court’s lack of authority to overrule Congressional rulings. A bipartisan effort to put wolf populations under state control is pending a vote in the nation’s capitol.
