(BOISE) – The Idaho Fish and Game Commission has named its new director. Virgil Moore, a seasoned administrator and fisheries biologist, replaces the agency’s outgoing director, Cal Groen. The 59-year-old Moore says he’s ready to “hit the ground running” by using his expertise to protect and maintain Idaho’s wildlife. The Boise native is the past director of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and began his career nearly 30 years ago studying cutthroat trout on the South Fork of the Snake River.
