(IDAHO FALLS) – Residents receiving e-mails from big-name businesses like Target, Kroger, or J.P. Morgan Chase may be receiving much more spam mail than they bargained for. Hackers recently tapped the accounts of nearly 2,500 businesses, which run their e-mail services through a Dallas-based company called Epsilon. Local News 8 reports that city officials in Pocatello are warning city employees about a scam with possible connections to the latest round of computer-hacking. State Attorney General Lawrence Wasden is urging residents to be extra cautious when clicking links in e-mails, especially those asking for personal information.
