Lawmakers Continue Fight to Lift Wolf Protections
(BILLINGS, Mont.) – U.S. Lawmakers say they’ll continue to fight to lift federal protections on gray wolves in the Intermountain West. A current agreement between the government and environmentalists would allow wolf hunting in Idaho and Montana, but would prohibit the practice in Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, and Utah. A bipartisan coalition is working fast to approve a plan before an agreement is settled in federal court.
