(AMMON) – A group of teachers is in hot water after District 93 officials say they sent home a political message with first graders condemning education reform. Local News 8 reports that Lora Stranger, Linda McArthur, and Cory Bingham sent home letters encouraging parents to contact their legislators amid concerns that teachers will only be able to work for contracted hours. Superintendent Chuck Shackett called the letter a case of “poor judgment.” Officials maintain the teachers are great educators and upstanding people. The case has not been reported to the State Board of Education.
