(IDAHO FALLS) – The signs of economic recovery are making themselves known nationwide, but in Idaho, it’s more of the same. Idaho’s unemployment rate has stayed at a record-high flat rate of 9.7 percent. Unemployment has dropped nationwide for the past 13 months. Officials told Local News 8 that until Idaho can start creating more jobs, the latest three-month streak could go much longer. President Barack Obama told reporters Friday that the national economy is “showing signs of real strength.”
