(BOISE) – Police in downtown Boise responded to several bar fights early Sunday morning, at one point fearing for their lives. Police say nearly 300 people surrounded five officers breaking up fisticuffs and preventing the officers from getting back to their patrol cars. Police then declared an unlawful assembly, called in help from the Idaho State Police and Garden City, and formed two skirmish lines. 14 people were taken into custody.
