(IDAHO FALLS) – Anyone owning a car knows paying at the pump is getting more expensive each time they fill up, but you might be surprised how much that impacts the smaller things. Local News 8 reports that the price of coffee beans has shot up 40 percent from this time last year, making that morning pick-me-up a lot more pricey. Many area businesses have had to raise their coffee prices just to sustain their profit margins. Poor growing conditions are also impacting coffee bean crops in Ethiopia and Indonesia, making a cheap cup of joe a little harder to come by.
