D. 25 Considering Staff Reduction

(POCATELLO) – It’s a decision every school district must address — whether to lay off staff or deal with budget woes. It’s happening in District 25 right now. School board members told Local News 8 that around 16 positions may be eliminated at the end of this year through natural attrition. Considering District 25 has 22 schools, administrators are counting their blessings. Officials say deeper cuts to extracurricular activities and a 4 day week may be on the horizon.
