Ditch Fire Grows Out of Control in Jefferson County

(JEFFERSON COUNTY) – A simple ditch fire spiraled out of control yesterday afternoon in Jefferson County. Local News 8 reports that the fire quickly spread to a pile of tires and two trailers. The blaze was put out just before it reached a grain silo. Firefighters remained after dousing the flames to monitor hot spots. No injuries were reported.
