Florida Man Gets Prison Time for Poaching in S.E. Idaho

(BOISE) – Poaching in Idaho may be a much bigger deal than some might think. A Florida man has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for guiding a deer hunt in southeast Idaho without a license, then illegally carrying meat across state lines. Jeffrey Dickson pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor of selling unlicensed outfitting services to a group of Nevada hunters in 2008. Dickson must also pay a $1,200 fine and 60 hours of community service.
