Idaho Falls Faces EPA Violations

  Published at

(IDAHO FALLS) – The Environmental Protection Agency says the city of Idaho Falls could face fines for violating contamination limits on the Snake River. KPVI reports that Mayor Jared Fuhriman was notified about the violations May 12. The EPA alleges that the city’s sewage plant exceeded contamination limits for ammonia and E. coli 142 times in the past five years. The city has plans to upgrade the facility to bring it back into compliance.
