More Charges Filed Against Rexburg Battery Suspect

(REXBURG) – Additional charges are being filed against a BYU-Idaho student who threatened to kill his wife and baby over the weekend. Rexburg police say 25-year-old Kristopher Corey Butcher will face two more misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Butcher was involved in a seven-hour standoff with police Friday night that extended into the early hours of Saturday morning. Butcher’s wife and three-month-old son were not physically harmed in the incident.
