Missing Father Found Dead Sunday

Washington County officials say they believe they have recovered the body of drowning victim Ryker Hooper. The body was discovered at 5:30 p.m. Sunday about 1.5 miles from Steck Park Recreation Area on the Snake River.Hooper was involved in a June 3 boating accident, which also claimed the life of his 2-year-old daughter Emma Hooper. Hooper, his daughter, and two other men were fishing in the Snake River near Steck Park about 20 miles northwest of Weiser when the accident occurred. Emma was wearing a recreational flotation device around her waist but was not wearing a life jacket, according to reports. None of the three men were wearing life jackets.
