Crews Monitor Flood Waters
Bingham County officials are preparing for rising floodwaters as temperatures heat up. Crews took a flight over the affected areas yesterday, with water pouring into fields and covering roads from Firth to Thomas. Local News 8 reports that floodwaters have remained steady the past few days. “It allows us to see the damage rivers cause in farm fields and other places we have in the county,” county Emergency Management Director Craig Rowland said. “It kind of gives a damages estimate.” Officials say they’ll keep filling sandbags until the river calms down.
