High Winds Damage Trees, Cause Injuries
Published atHigh winds hammered the region Wednesday afternoon, causing damage in towns around eastern Idaho and western Wyoming. The National Weather Service reported that an 80 mph wind gust hit the Jackson Lake Lodge, blowing out windows, knocking down trees, and injuring three employees. Downed trees were also reported in Pocatello and Iona, where wind speeds were in excess of 40 mph.
