Idaho Board of Education Approves Additional Funding

The Idaho State Board of Education has approved an addition $7.5 million in funding for cash-strapped community colleges. Chief Fiscal Officer Matt Freeman says the extra funding comes after agreements between the state and the federal government for public schools to preserve teaching jobs. Republican State Sen. Dean Cameron of Rupert voiced his disapproval of the decision, saying the board should “rethink their approach.”
