Lions Attack A Mormon Missionary

Officials with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints say a missionary in Guatemala was attacked by two lions while visiting a zoo Monday. 20-year-old Paul Richard Oakey of St. George, Utah has been hospitalized with serious injuries. Oakey climbed on top of a concrete barrier to have his picture taken when the lions attacked. Doctors are unsure whether Oakey will regain full use of his fingers after suffering major nerve damage in his arms. Oakey’s family believes the prayers of his fellow missionaries helped him survive the attack.
