Two Idaho Soldiers Killed, 1 Injured in Iraq
Published atTwo Idaho soliders were killed last Thursday during an insurgent attack in Iraq. Specialists Nathan Beyers and Nicholas Newby were both members of the 116th Cavalry Brigade. Beyers, a 24-year-old native of Littleton, Colo. was living in the Coeur d’ Alene area. He leaves behind his wife Vanessa and an eight-month-old daughter. 20-year-old Newby, also of Coeur d’ Alene leaves behind friends and family in Idaho and Connecticut. Another Idaho soldier, Staff Sergeant Jason Rzepa, sustained serious leg injuries in the attack. The Idaho National Guard’s commander, Maj. Gen. Gary L. Sayler vows to help and support the families in the future.
