Former Firefighter Charged with Arson

(POCATELLO) – A 32-year-old volunteer firefighter is facing charges of arson for attempting to start wildfires in eastern Idaho. KPVI reports that Glenn Thor was taken into custody July 19 after an officer spotted Thor starting a fire and fleeing the scene. The small blaze was later extinguished by the Pocatello Fire Department. Thor, who formerly worked as a volunteer for the Pocatello Valley Fire Department and fought fires for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, will be back in court Sept. 7.
