Four People Killed In Plane Crash Near Burley

UPDATE: The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office released the names of the four family members that were killed in Sunday’s plane crash. Randall Whittle, the pilot, along with passengers Vicki, Mclean, and Brittany Whittle – all of Claremont, California were killed after their plane crashed and caught fire.

(Burley. ID) – Officials say four people are dead after a small plane crashed and burst into flames on Sunday afternoon. The plane was taking off from the J.R. Simplot airport when it went down around 2:20pm southwest of Burley. The names of the victims have not been released as of yet. An investigation is ongoing.
