(POCATELLO) – Two Idaho soldiers are safe after a roadside attack in Iraq. Specialist Chad Mitschelen and Sgt. Juan Montelongo, both of Pocatello suffered non-life-threatening injuries when their armored vehicle was hit by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted inside a parked car. A Hawaiian soldier also involved in the ambush credits good training and the sturdiness of the armored vehicle for saving their lives. Members of the 116th Cavalry Brigade are set to return home within the next two weeks.
