IFPD Warns About Scratch Game Fraud

Scratch Fraud

(Idaho Falls, ID) – The Idaho Falls Police Department is issuing a warning to residents regarding a possible scratch game fraud.  Joelyn Hansen, PIO for the IFPD, told East Idaho News that local residents recently contacted the IFPD regarding a newspaper insert for “$12,000 Grand Prize Double Blackjack” scratch game. When the resident called the telephone numbers listed on the card about their winnings he was asked for his social security number and other personal information.
The IFPD advises everyone to be cautious and not to give out personal information.
