Increased Insurance Rates Confuse Homeowners

(IDAHO FALLS) – Home insurance premiums have skyrocketed across the region, especially for AllState customers. KIDK reports that homeowners in Bonneville County have seen premiums shooting up as high as 46 percent. Insurance officials claim the new fire district rating has more than doubled the cost for some customers. That came as a surprise to Bonneville County’s Fire Commissioner, who says the company is raising rates on their own. Rating officials believe AllState may have made a mistake.
