Man Drowns in Bear Lake

(RICH COUNTY, Utah) – A 36-year-old Evanston, Wyoming man drowned in Bear Lake Saturday while trying to retrieve his boat. Witnesses say the man was camping in the Rainbow Cove area Saturday night when the boat began drifting away, prompting the man to swim after it. Emergency responders recovered the man’s body Sunday morning. This is the second reported drowning in the lake in the past two months and the 22nd drowning in Utah this year. An investigation is ongoing.
