SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Rescue crews found the Rexburg teen who was missing for almost a full day.
Local News 8 reports that Joseph Schellenberg, 17, was camping with his family at Crystal Lake in the Uinta Mountains. He was last seen Monday night when the family went to bed at the Long Lake Campground, which is only accessible by foot, Sgt. Ron Bridge said.
Family members reported the teen missing around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Joseph was found later that evening, around 5 p.m. Tuesday safe and in good condition, Sgt. Bridge said.
Joseph is described by family members as mentally challenged boy with the mental capacity of a 6-or 7-year-old, Sgt. Bridge said.
