Three siblings who authorities say shot up a police car in Florida and robbed a bank in Georgia were being hunted on Friday. A federal magistrate in Macon, Georgia, issued arrest warrants for Ryan Edward Dougherty, 21, Stanley Dylan Dougherty, 26, and Grace Lee E. Dougherty, 29. Officials believe they are carrying an assault rifle and other weapons.

Heavily armed: The gang during the Georgia bank robbery. Two held guns while one grabbed the money

Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco said one of the suspects had sent a troubling text message to their mother that said: ‘At some point we all have to die.’ Three armed suspects entered a Valdosta, Georgia, bank on Tuesday, fired shots into the ceiling and demanded money, the FBI in Atlanta said. Witnesses at the Certus Bank said that just after noon, two men and a woman wearing masks came in through the front entrance of the branch in south Georgia just over the Florida state line. At least two of the robbers showed weapons, including one described as being an AK-47 type assault rifle and the other appearing to be an automatic pistol, the FBI said. The other robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of money.

The trio left the bank and in a white 2006 Subaru Impreza.  Earlier that morning, a police officer in Zephyrhills, outside of Tampa in central Florida, tried to pull the group over for speeding, the FBI said.  A patrol officer was chasing the car when one of the suspects began shooting at his police cruiser, forcing it to stop.  The officer was not injured and the vehicle got away, the FBI said. The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office also is investigating whether the siblings are connected to gun parts found at Tampa International Airport on Wednesday morning.  Public records list an Orlando, Florida, address for Grace Dougherty and a Zephyrhills, Florida, address for Ryan Dougherty. No listing was found for Stanley Dougherty.  But according to TBO.com, the website for the Tampa Tribune, the siblings have lived in Lacoochee in Pasco County for the last three years.  Tampa Bay Online reported that Ryan Dougherty had been sentenced on Monday to 12 years of probation on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct involving a minor under the age of 16 and for sending harmful material to a minor.  He was supposed to wear an ankle monitor but had cut it off, authorities told Tampa Bay Online.
