Offender Tries to Flee Courthouse

(IDAHO FALLS) – An Idaho Falls man was sentenced to 175 days in jail following a courtroom outburst Monday. The Post Register reports that Robert Galand Rish was frustrated after Magistrate Judge Penny Stanford sentenced him to 30 days in jail for a probation violation – so he tried to run out of the courtroom. Stanford interrupted Rish’s long stream of  expletives by revoking his probation and sentencing him to nearly six months in the Bonneville County Jail. Rish offered an apology, though Stanford maintained the ruling.
