(ELKO, Nev.) – Authorities in Nevada have called off the search for a missing Canadian man. Elko County officials believe 59-year-old Albert Chretien (pronounced Cree-shin) is dead, with his remains scattered somewhere in the desert. Chretien’s wife Rita was found nearly 50 days after their van became stuck in the mud on a remote road. Albert left the van in search of help but was never found. Officials hope hunters will find Chretien’s remains this fall.
