(BOISE) – For the second time in three years, Idaho has an open wolf hunting season. Idaho Gov. Butch Otter says his office has received upwards of 50 calls a day from environmentalists complaining about this year’s hunt. An international protest to boycott Idaho was set up in New York Tuesday, though state officials say only two people actually showed up. Fish and Game officials say only 8,000 tags have been sold so far this year, down from 31,000 in 2009.
