(POCATELLO) – Idaho’s WIC program has received a $1.1 million federal grant. KIDK reports that the grant was given to Idaho because it has one of the highest breastfeeding rates in the nation. The money will be distributed to the 50 WIC agencies throughout the state. About 32 percent of Idaho’s WIC-enrolled infants are being fully breastfed.
