Would-be Thief Caught, Held by Victim

(BOISE) – A Boise man is making headlines after police say he caught a thief in the act, chased him down, and sat on him until authorities arrived. 46-year-old Allen Berry is accused of stealing two guns from an unlocked pickup truck, and faces several felony charges of burglary and grand theft. The victim called 9-1-1 at around 3 a.m. Saturday to report the suspect breaking into his vehicle. The suspect is also accused of stealing small items from other nearby cars.
