Teen Dies After Falling Off Cliff

(POWER COUNTY) – A Pocatello teen is dead after falling off a cliff early Thursday morning. The Power County Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Jaden Schenk was camping in the Bonanza Lake area with friends when he apparently stumbled off a ledge, falling 45 feet to his death. Emergency crews responded to the call at around 2:30 a.m. Officials say rugged terrain and darkness made walking around the area dangerous. Deputies do not suspect foul play, but say alcohol may have played a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
