(McCALL) – A Blackfoot teen has died after a weekend car accident in western Idaho Saturday. 18-year-old Sarah Asmus, the daughter of Blackfoot Police Capt. Kurt Asmus, was killed when the vehicle she was riding in lost control while negotiating a sweeping right curve on a slick road. The driver, 19-year-old Katherine Bulcher of Hansen collided with an oncoming pickup truck near Smith’s Ferry. Asmus was a freshman at the University of Idaho. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
