Paul Ezra Rhodes is Dead!

**Idaho’s longest standing death-row inmate has been executed. Paul Ezra Rhodes, convicted in 1987 for the brutal murders of two East Idaho women was pronounced dead at 9:15 this morning.
Paul Ezra Rhodes was executed by the Idaho Department of
Corrections at 9:15 this morning. There had been a short delay, while a 4th
District Judge reviewed a motion filed late in the day Thursday. According to the ACLU, that filing was over
the state’s efforts to conceal some of the execution from the media.
Rhodes had been on death row since 1987, convicted of the
brutal kidnapping and murder of two Eastern Idaho
women. This was Idaho’s first execution in 17-years.
