Rigby Considers $4M Water Overhaul

(RIGBY) – The city of Rigby may borrow up to $4 million to help overhaul its water system. KIDK reports that the loan is being offered by the Department of Environmental Quality and could be paid off over the next 20 years at 1.75 percent interest. City officials say the water system is in dire need of an upgrade, and average rates would increase by about $12 per month if the loan is taken out. A final decision is pending.
