(POCATELLO) – The U.S. Postal Service has announced plans to close more than 250 facilities around the nation, including the Pocatello processing center. Overnight shipping may soon make way for much longer shipping periods due to the announced closures. The $3 billion cut will eliminate 28,000 jobs. The proposal awaits final approval from the Postal Regulatory Commission and could take effect sometime late next year.
