(SALT LAKE CITY)  High winds have ripped through Utah today overturning several semi-trucks, knocking out power to over 40,000 customers and prompting school closures.     Police asked schools to close in Centerville, where the National Weather Service reported a 102 mph gust Thursday morning.   Centerville’s mayor declared a local state of emergency in the town, and mail delivery and trash pickup were cancelled for the day.     Salt Lake County emergency officials say morning winds blew 10 semi-trucks onto their sides on or near Interstate 15. Truck travel was restricted north of Salt Lake City.  Rocky Mountain Power reports at least 40,000 customers on the Wasatch Front were without power.
