(SAN DIEGO) — It must be December, because Phillip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers are winning.
Sunday, the Chargers defeated the Baltimore Ravens 34-14, and the win improved Rivers record to 25-2 as the Chargers starting quarterback in December.
With both the Broncos and Raiders losing Sunday, the Chargers find themselves one game out of first in the AFC West.
“It was good to win a big game like this at home against a good team,” Rivers said. “It was a rough six-game stretch, but we hung tight together and fought our way back to .500 with two to play and we’re still alive.”
With the win, Rivers became one of only three quarterbacks in NFL history to record four-straight 4,000- yard seasons.
