(LOS ANGELES) — Yes, it’s only the first preseason game between the Clippers and Lakers but for one night, Los Angeles is a Clipper town.
The Los Angeles Clippers (1-0) bounced the Los Angeles Lakers (1-0), 114-95 on Monday night at the Staples Center.
Newly acquired guard Chris Paul put up 17 points in the first of two preseason games against the Lakers before the regular season tips off on Christmas Day.
Another new face, Chauncey Billups topped Paul and scored a team high of 23 in the rout.
Kobe Bryant scored 22 points for the Lakers in less than 30 minutes of play.
