(ATLANTA) — It was a blowout within a blink of an eye Thursday night, when the Atlanta Falcons (9-5) beat the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-10), 41-14.
At halftime, the score was 27-0 and Atlanta had a 41-0 lead until the Jaguars scored on a blocked punt in the third quarter.
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 224 yards and had three touchdowns in the game.
“For four quarters we played good football,” said Ryan. “We wanted to carry over the momentum from the second half of last week into this week, we started off fast and didn’t look back from there.”
With two games remaining, Atlanta currently sits in the fifth seed in the NFC playoff bracket.
