Heat Tested Against Timberwolves
Published at(MINNEAPOLIS) — Dwyane Wade came through again for the Miami Heat on Friday night. With four seconds remaining, his teammate LeBron James tossed him an alley-oop on the inbounds pass that gave Miami a 103-101 lead.
The Timberwolves (0-3) did get one last look but Wayne Ellington missed a 21-foot jumper and Miami escaped with a win and improved to (4-0).
As for the inbounds play, well Miami did admit, they got it from another team. It was the same play the Celtics used on Miami to beat them in a playoff game in 2010. Wade suggested it during the timeout before.
“We stole it,” James said. “And D-Wade, that’s two game-winners back to back, right? Good for him. I like it.”
