Knicks Claim Guard Lin off Waivers

Houston Rockets/NBA(NEW YORK) — The New York Knicks have claimed guard Jeremy Lin off waivers. Lin, who was released by the Rockets on Sunday and played for the Warriors last season as a rookie, played his college ball at Harvard and is the first Asian American in the NBA since 1947.
The Knicks needed to add guard depth after rookie Iman Shumpert sprained his knee during New York’s Christmas Day win over the Boston Celtics.
