Locals Spread Awareness Through Cardboard Boxes

(POCATELLO) – Many locals in Pocatello left their heated homes for cardboard boxes this weekend to raise awareness for the homeless. Aid for Friends, a charity that provides a homeless shelter to those down on their luck, wanted to raise awareness for those who have been forced out of their homes due to recent economic troubles. Shelters for the event were made primarily of cardboard boxes. Sleeping bags and foam pads were also used to provide warmth and insulation inside the shelters. Over a hundred people participated in the event on Saturday.
