(DALLAS) — The Dallas Mavericks (0-2) dropped their second straight game at home on Monday night against the Denver Nuggets (1-0), 115-93.
Not exactly what Mavericks fans envisioned with their new-look team.
Dallas gave up 20 straight points in the second quarter and had a stretch of 14 straight missed shots during a 9:52 drought between baskets.
In the third quarter, it got worse. They trailed by 33, a day after being down 35 to the Heat.
“It’s on all of us, but it’s on me more than anybody,” said Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle. “I got to have these guys ready to play.”
They’ll travel to Oklahoma City to take on the Thunder on Thursday.
