Pearl Harbor Survivor Shares Memories

(POCATELLO) – It happened 71 years ago this week, and a local man lived to tell about it. 88-year-old Harold Beebe was only 17 and serving on the USS Blue when he witnessed the Pearl Harbor attacks. During the battle Beebe operated one of the ship’s 5-inch guns, firing at the attacking planes. Beebe now shares his story with his grandchildren and great grandchildren so they won’t forget the “day that will live in infamy.”
